The familiar color scheme of New York State license plates will soon change for emergency vehicles.
Governor Andrew Cuomo announced on Thursday ( April 3, 2014) they will soon have red letters. The new plates will also have an “EM” sticker to help identify them. The cars must be registered or controlled in the name of the agency or locality — which will also be prominently displayed.
There will be no charge for the new plates.
Cromwell Emergency Vehicles is a proud supporter of Breast Cancer Awareness and will donate $250 for every customer that adds pink ribbons to their new vehicle.
EMS World’s Top Innovation Award Program recognizes companies that have produced innovative new products or products with significant changes. At the 2013 EMS World Expo held in Las Vegas, NV, Cromwell Emergency Vehicles received the 2013 EMS Innovation Award for its EASY REACH WALL design.
Ambulances are not a particularly safe work environment, but efforts are constantly being made to make them safer for both patients and providers. One of the main reasons for the lack of safety is providers are often compelled out of necessity to move around the rig to reach equipment to treat their patients. How much nicer would it be to have everything you need right at an arm’s length away?
The Easy Reach Wall designed by Cromwell Emergency Vehicles and manufactured by Osage Ambulances does just that. It provides EMS personnel with equipment “within arms reach” increasing their safety and the safety of the patients they are transporting.
See for yourself why more squads then ever are adding the Easy Reach Wall to their custom ambulance.
